Sublimation Table Flag

Sublimation Table Flags/Desk Flags

AlFardan Uniforms offers high-quality sublimation printing services for various types of flags, including table flags. Sublimation printing allows for vibrant, full-color designs that are durable and long-lasting. Sublimation is a process used to transfer dye onto materials such as fabric, metal, or plastic. When creating a table flag through sublimation, the dye becomes part of the fabric, resulting in a durable, high-quality print. Here’s a detailed guide on how to sublimate a table flag:

Materials Needed:

  1. Sublimation Printer: A printer equipped with sublimation ink.
  2. Sublimation Paper: Special paper designed for sublimation printing.
  3. Heat Press: A machine to apply heat and pressure.
  4. Blank Table Flag: A flag made from polyester or other sublimation-friendly material.
  5. Heat-resistant Tape: To hold the sublimation paper in place.
  6. Design Software: Software like Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop to create your design.

Steps to Sublimate a Table Flag:

  1. Design Creation:
    • Use your design software to create or import your desired design.
    • Ensure the design matches the size of the table flag.
    • Mirror the design before printing, as the sublimation process reverses the image.
  2. Print the Design:
    • Load the sublimation paper into the sublimation printer.
    • Print the mirrored design onto the sublimation paper using sublimation ink.
  3. Prepare the Table Flag:
    • Preheat the heat press to the required temperature (typically around 400°F or 204°C, but check the specific instructions for your materials).
    • Place the blank table flag on a clean, flat surface.
    • Use heat-resistant tape to secure the printed sublimation paper onto the table flag. Ensure the design is facing down onto the flag.
  4. Sublimation Process:
    • Place a sheet of parchment paper or a protective sheet on the heat press to avoid any ink transfer.
    • Place the flag with the taped sublimation paper onto the heat press.
    • Cover it with another sheet of parchment paper.
    • Close the heat press and apply the recommended pressure for the required time (usually around 60 seconds, but this can vary).
    • Carefully open the heat press and remove the parchment paper and sublimation paper.
  5. Cooling and Finishing:
    • Allow the table flag to cool completely.
    • Remove the heat-resistant tape and inspect the flag for any imperfections.
    • Trim any excess fabric if necessary and attach the flag to its stand.
